Thanks a lot.

Eagerly awaiting the Shakedown SDH.

Always appreciate the input from this board.

If your checking into 11/24/79, don't skip the China/Rider, it has the ability to put you in the hospital with severe contusions brought on by a Phil-induced battering.

10/25/79 offers a great Shakedown > Passenger. The Shakedown is one of the better versions from any year. My favorite Passenger is from 8/12/79 at Red Rocks.

I'll back Mr. Butt (can I call you Butt?) on this one, the 10/27 and 11/9 are just stellar examples of how good this band was.

Must be something about Passenger and 11/24. The 79 has Phil front and center dropping large ordinance.

Sorry, sir, but we did Grok this during the mega-grok a while back. One of my favorites. Check the Greatest Story, goddamn thing smokes. I'd be more than happy to grok this sucker again.

Where the hell was Cliff?

Dude, this China/Rider is completely blowing Cliffs mind, somebody call the fire department!

This is amazing, they actually "lock in" like the Allmans...

It was the first Sunday AM "Coffee Grok". I suppose it could be repeated as a night grok soon. Don't forget to check the Greatest Story. Who knew it could be so huge?

AND, I am so pleased to have seen your journey to the "other side" and see you fully accept the fact that there is indeed life after 1977. 1979 contains some truly monsterous shows for ANY year.

Cush agrees with Cliff on re-Grokking...

Cush is clueless on the rest of this thread and refuses to comment...

I'm confused as well why a thread labelled Monumental ChinaRider asks about Passenger.

But no matter. For a monumental ChinaRider head immediately to 2/24/74.

That is all.
